Empowering women to live a "once is enough" life they love, while growing in grace with healthy food, healthy habits, and a whole lotta Jesus.

As a woman who's been there, done that turned Certified Lifestyle Weight Management Specialist, my mission is to help women get healthy and create sustainable habits that will help them not just lose weight if that’s their desire, but establish and maintain a healthy lifestyle so they are confident about who they are and how they show up in the world.

Eat for your life!

You don't lose 100 pounds and keep it off for over 5 years with exercise alone. What goes in your mouth matters, sister.

My food and diet philosophy is simple:

1. Eat whole foods.
2. Mostly plants.
3. Not too much.

Here you'll find a collection of healthy, (mostly) plant-based recipes the whole family will enjoy. And the best part - they'll make your heart luxuriously happy and healthy, too!

Mind yourself

As my good friend and author, Meredith King said in her book, Immovable, "God created us to do stuff." Not just sit around and wish stuff.

Sometimes I think thoughts or dream up solutions that need to be shared. This will be my space to do that for you.

Growing in grace, especially in weight loss which is my specialty, is key to a life well-lived.

I pray you'll find it fun, thought-provoking, entertaining, and life-affirming.

Yes, friend, that's me...

Jennifer Finney Before and After

At my heaviest on the left, near 300 pounds - in my early 30's, pre-babies and pre-wedding. On the right, I'm about half my former size, in my early 40's and after two babies and a wedding.

Y'all, I didn't have surgery. I just wanted to improve my health. Weight loss wasn't even my goal, it was just a really awesome side effect! (although I'd be lying if I didn't say I hoped I would lose weight, too!)

In literally one day, I went from living to eat, to eating to live, and YOU CAN, TOO!

I struggled with my weight all my life. But it wasn't until September 2012, when my 450-lb husband got a huge wake-up call at a regular check up, that we stopped treating our bodies like garbage cans and started caring for them with the love and respect they deserved.

I remember that day feeling completely hopeless when he asked me to help him lose weight. The doctor told him if he didn't go on a diet and lose at least 100 pounds, he'd be dead or on dialysis before his 40th birthday. With 2 kids under 2, I wasn't about to let that happen. And I knew one thing for sure...

Going on a diet wasn't the answer.

Changing our diet was.

Now, we live a life full of possibilities and opportunities we never dreamed would be ours! We eat a myriad of amazing foods and flavors from across the globe. We live a life without medications and preventable, life-threatening diseases.

A life full of epic dance parties with the kids, playing catch in the front yard and waking up everyday thankful for a second chance to really LIVE the life we've been given in bodies that can keep up!

The smaller clothes, hopeful confidence and better sex are an added bonus!

I went from hopeless to hopeful. And you can, too.
